Flowers is a 43-inch, 2008 Silver Dapple Pony Mare with a résumé that’s hard to beat. She’s been our personal pony for the last year and a half, and before that, she spent nine years with a close family friend, loved and used regularly. I originally purchased Flowers to build my daughter’s confidence, and she’s done that job beautifully — she’s simply outgrown her now.
This little mare has been trail ridden extensively, including full day rides at Eminence, MO, and she handles every bit of it like a seasoned veteran. Sure-footed, not spooky, willing to lead or follow — and happy to ride out alone without any buddy-sour nonsense. She crosses water easily, handles rough terrain without hesitation, and keeps up with the big horses just fine.
Flowers has also been hauled to multiple Fun Shows and 4-H events. She knows her way around the barrels, poles, flag race, catalog race, and excels in trail classes — bridges, mailbox, slicker test, you name it. She’s the kind that will stand perfectly still while being decorated for costume classes: Indian Pony, Unicorn, Hippy Pony… whatever the kids dream up, she’s game.
She’s been in parades with candy being tossed from her saddle bags and never bats an eye. Time off doesn’t bother her, and she’s always a lady for grooming, saddling, and the farrier.
Flowers is 100% sound, never foundered, freshly trimmed, and current on vaccinations, Coggins, and regular worming.
This sweet mare loves attention, enjoys being brushed, and will stand for hours while kids braid her mane. She is gentle, steady, and truly safe for even the youngest riders.
