Bobby is the kind of ranch horse folks look for. Raised right from the beginning.
We brought Bobby home when he was a yearling. He came from a respected Montana breeder known for producing quality draft crosses and he has been brought along slow, correct, and with the kind of foundation that creates a lifelong partner.
At 4 years old and standing 15.3 hands, Bobby has the size and strength you want for a real ranch horse, but he moves with the athleticism and responsiveness that makes him feel like a big fancy Quarter Horse.
He is a true head turner with his strawberry red roan color, pretty head, and correct conformation. That kind of look combined with this level of ability is not easy to find.
Bobby can really sit down and stop. He turns around correctly, moves off your leg, side passes, opens gates, and always picks up the correct lead. He will even step into the lope from a standstill.
He is coming along nicely in the roping and shows all the ability you would want in a ranch partner. He has the strength to rope big cattle yet the agility to move quick when a job calls for it.
What makes Bobby stand out is his athleticism. For a horse standing 15.3 hands, he can really move his feet. He has speed and quickness that could take him toward barrels, yet he has the build and power to handle the ranch chores.
Take him to the pasture and rope bulls. Take him down the trail for the afternoon. Take him to the show pen and lope circles that would make any Quarter Horse proud. Bobby has the ability to go in about any direction you want.
He is good to catch, load, bathe, and stands tied quietly for hours. He is excellent for his feet and has some of the hardest hooves we have ever come across. He has never been lame a day in his life.
Bobby is a willing partner that wants to please. He is responsive to your leg and hand cues and will do best with a rider that rides soft and lets him do his job. He may look at something new and give a snort, but he will always step up and check it out when you ask him to.
