Carol is truly a unique pony — the kind that catches your eye with her gorgeous dapple gray coat, then keeps your attention with movement as elegant as an Andalusian. This little mare is as versatile as they come. Whether you’re moving cows, tackling the trails, running barrels, or roping something that wiggles, Carol is always ready for the next adventure.
She’s been one of our barn favorites, and it’s easy to see why. Carol is loyal, wants to please, and has speed when you need it. She’s naturally athletic and well on her way to winning some belt buckles in barrels or poles. She enjoys playdays, takes her job seriously, and gives her whole heart to her rider. Carol is excellent at running barrels and also excels at the roping events and goat tying. She’s well on her way to being a solid all-around pony.
All of our kids, ages 4 to 11, enjoy riding her. My 4-year-old has gained confidence loping Carol. She doesn’t require little legs to kick nonstop to get her, and keep her, going. Her easy and responsive stop offers the safety net that kids – and parents – appreciate. Carol is responsive to cues. This makes her the perfect step-up mount for an experienced beginner on up. A rider that understands the basics of stopping, turning and sitting the saddle will get along with her extremely well.
On the trail, she’s no stranger to anything — climbs, crosses, and handles whatever you put in front of her. She loves winding trails and obstacles, she’s even competed in trail competitions and brought home wins. My 4-year-old can jump up on her and go out on adventures and I can trust Carol to take good care of her.
Her movement is stunning — smooth, fancy, and eye-catching — complete with mane and tail for days. She’s a head turner, getting compliments where ever we go.
Carol is good in a stall or corral, loads and saddles easily, stands great for trimming, and is simple to catch and haul. Bathing is a breeze! She’s the kind of pony that makes life easy around the barn.
