Big Dapper Dan is a 6 year old, 16.1+ hand, 1450 pound Percheron Quarter Horse cross gelding that is truly one of a kind! His big, easy and powerful lope and stature will make you feel like you’re loping down the beach like a princess or a fierce warrior with a sword at your side!
Dan was bred, born, raised and trained by a very respected Amish community in our area. Due to this, his foundation and life experience is vast! Dan is good natured and smart as a whip with a good mind and attitude. He has been driven as a team doing all sorts of farm work as well as on the wagon. He recently started going single on the buggy and is doing very well too!
Dan walks out with confidence no matter where you want to go. He has a big, ground covering trot and an easy lope down the trail. Dan is great going over all types of obstacles including water, brush, ditches and bridges. He’s been used at the sale barn to pen back cattle, gather pastures and sort in the alley. He’s played over ground poles, cross rails and small jumps in the English saddle too! He’s also been exposed to different style cross country jumps and loves it!
Dan has all the skills and the athletic ability to do well in the three day eventing ring or follow the hounds in the Foxhunting field. Dan loves a good party trick and will happily play with the sled, ball, flag and much more. He loads easily and will back out or turn around according to your preference. Dan will side-pass to the mounting block, fence or trailer fender for easy mounting.

Dan is up to date on dental, vaccinations, chiropractic care, hoof care and worming. Dan has a recent Pre-Purchase Exam (PPE), with flexions, in files. Dan will also sell with our optional two day clinic at our home facility in Baxter Springs, Kansas in addition to a comprehensive manual on his cues, habits, and health information.
