Dualin Doc Doc – Gritty, athletic, and bred to last!
2023 AQHA Sorrel Gelding | 14.2hh | Rope Prospect
If you’re looking for one with motor, grit, and a little edge, here he is.
Dualin Doc Doc is a young gelding that’s bred to work and wired to go. He’s quick footed, athletic, and confident in everything he does, with a big motor and a sharp mind that stays engaged. He’s the kind that wants a job and shows up ready to work, not one you have to drag along or convince. Doc can be a little salty, so he’s not a babysitter, but that’s exactly what you want if you’re shopping for a real roping prospect that will leave flat, hunt a cow, and stay with one when the pressure is on.
Under saddle, he is coming along nicely for his age and time. He has a smooth, forward trot, lopes off on cue, backs willingly, and gives to the bridle with a soft face. Doc responds well to pressure, stays athletic through his body, and is already showing the ability to collect and maneuver. He is started on his spins and is learning to stay correct and balanced as his strength builds. You can swing a rope off him and he takes it in stride, showing the confidence and mindset you want in a young horse with a future in the box.
Doc has ran cattle a handful of times and has already shown interest and try, wanting to track and stay engaged rather than check out. With approximately 60 days under saddle, he is still green but progressing the right way, with a foundation that is being built to last instead of rushed. On the ground, he is easy to handle, stands well for the farrier, loads and trailers without issue, and handles new situations with a level headed, willing attitude.
Doc is by RS Dualin Starlight, an NRCHA money earner of over five thousand dollars and an AQHA High Point Versatility Ranch Horse Stallion, bringing proven ranch and cow horse credentials to the table. RS Dualin Starlight is by Kit Dual, an Equi Stat Elite Sire whose offspring have earned over $4.2 million dollars across cutting, cow horse, and performance arenas. That is generations of cow, speed, and durability stacked deep.
Doc is still young, but the ingredients for a top-notch rope horse are there. Big motor, confidence, athleticism, and the kind of breeding that makes rope horses that last. Put him in a program, let him mature, and you have the makings of a horse that could make noise in the box and stay useful outside the arena too.
