At 13 years old and standing 13 hands, this buckskin gelding is the perfect size for growing riders who are ready for more but still need safe. He is quiet, steady, and patient in every sense of the word.
He was a true schoolmaster for our 5 year old daughter. She learned to canter on him with ease thanks to his balanced, smooth movement. She started over fences, hauled to lessons and shows, and trail rode all over the farm following mom and dad. They pushed cattle together and rode to neighboring farms at the walk, trot, and canter.
Gunner is not spooky and has more woah than go. He has a great stop and does not get quick or rushy. His trot and canter are naturally balanced, making it easy for a child to learn rhythm and control without feeling overwhelmed.
On the trail he will lead or follow and will also go out alone. He handles it like a seasoned partner. No silliness. No drama.
