Lenny – Small in Size, Big on Heart
4-Year-Old Spotted Pony Gelding | 42 inches | Trails • Ranch • Playdays • Barrels • Poles
If you’re huntin’ for that just-right kids’ pony with plenty of try and a whole lot of heart, Lenny might just jingle his way straight under your Christmas tree. This cute spotted gelding has been a confidence-builder for our two youngest kiddos, and he aims to please every time his little rider hops on.
Out on the trail is where Lenny truly shines. He’ll march over logs, slip through water, climb steep hills, and sniff out any adventure your kiddo can dream up. He’s steady, sure-footed, rides double, crosses tarps, and never turns down a new obstacle. Playdays? He’s all in. Both our 6- and 9-year-olds show him, and he’s taken a real liking to the barrels and poles. He’s not too fast for the tiny tots, but gives juuuust enough speed for that kiddo ready to kick things up a notch. Lenny can go slow and steady or pick it up when asked—your choice, little partner.
This pony is an easy keeper, happy in a stall or corral. He loads, ties, and stands for his feet like a gentleman. The kids can catch, saddle, and bridle him without needing a grown-up to save the day.
Now, in full transparency—Lenny can get nervous around adults, especially if someone pops up behind him. With a little reassurance, a few scratches, or a treat or two, he settles right in. Because of that, he’ll do best with a kiddo who has just a touch of experience or some natural confidence. He looks for a leader, wants direction, and genuinely wants to do right by his rider.
