Our 6 year old daughter learned to canter on him. Our 3 year olds trot on him on a lead line. He rides behind parents all over the ranch and helps push cattle. He is not spooky. Not reactive. Not silly. He is the steady, honest, more woah than go pony that every family hopes to find.
Midnight will ride English or western. He is a dream on trails and will lead or follow without drama. Deer can jump out and he does not flinch. Dogs, livestock, chaos around him, he handles it like a seasoned ranch hand in a pony body.
His gaits are steady and rhythmical, making it easy for little riders to learn to trot and canter without feeling out of control. He stops easy. He steers easy. He does not pull children around on the ground. He stands for grooming, braiding, and all the glittery love little girls want to give.
He catches easy, tacks up quietly, stands for feet, and turns out with big horses without issue. He is an easy keeper and has not foundered. He will follow you around the farm like a loyal dog and genuinely enjoys attention.
