Nutmeg is an athletic, toned, 14.2+ hand, bay paint colored mare that weighs 1000. She’s the perfect ‘spice’ for anyone looking for a smooth ride, her gaits give the illusion of traveling on a cloud! She’s tons of fun to ride English and jump as she’s incredibly determined, making her a great prospect for a fox hunter, hunter pace or jumper. She’s very fluid with absolutely beautiful knees. If jumping or English riding isn’t your thing, have no fear, her beautiful extension makes her a perfect prospect for Ranch Riding and Ranch Pleasure. She’s full of raw talent that hasn’t even been tapped yet. In the right hands, that talent will really shine! She has done everything we’ve asked of her in our training program and is ready for next adventure.
Nutmeg has worked at the sale barn penning back cattle and she opens and closes gates with ease. On the trails she crosses water, logs, bridges, ditches, mud bogs and much more. She’s great with dogs and has packed flags, played with the tarp, and pulled a log. Nutmeg is as smart as a whip when it comes to learning new things. She’s affectionate without being pushy and she has great ground manners. She leads, loads, ties, shoes and is easy to catch, saddle and bridle.
Nutmeg lopes soft lofty circles on either lead and will even throw in some flying lead changes when asked. She has a beautiful extended trot and really uses all of her action and movement to put out a big wow factor. This, in combination of her life experience at the sale barn, on the trails and in the English arena makes her just a few short rides from being a top notch Ranch Versatility All Arounder. Nutmeg is up to date on dental, vaccinations, chiropractic care, hoof care and worming. Nutmeg has a recent Pre-Purchase Exam (PPE), with flexions, in files. Nutmeg will also sell with our optional two day clinic at our home facility in Baxter Springs, Kansas in addition to a comprehensive manual on his cues, habits, and health information.
