Drifter

Drifter is a 17 hand, 4 year old spotted draft gelding that is sweet as pie and handsome to look at! We have had this guy since he was a yearling. He’s calm and gentle with a great mind and a puppy dog personality. Drifter is broke to ride and he drives double. He’s good for the farrier and doesn’t require stocks. Trailer loads well and is good for bathing. Stands for saddling, mounting and harnessing. Drifter works good off of your legs and seat and will ride like a dream saddled or bareback. He will side pass over to a gate – or anything else you climb on – to make it easy for you to mount. He knows how to lay down on command, for mounting or just for tricks! He’s been trail ridden all over the place and taken to trail parks. He will do the trail obstacles, bridges, water, tarps, etc. He definitely gets you noticed out on the trails with his flashy good looks and beautiful blue eyes! Drifter will ride alone or with other horses and he crosses things well. You can throw a rope off of him or crack a bull whip. He’s drug logs, will walk over, under and through a tarp and he’s started on roping the dummy. Drifter’s been working in the sale barn to pen back, load and move cattle. While in the harness he has been used to haul wood and plow and has been on the chore wagon. This summer he was out in the hay field mowing. He pulls nicely and will go right down the road and will cross bridges. Drifter has been so much fun to have around but he is ready for his next adventure!
