Juju is a 9 year old Welsh cross pony that stands 13.3 hands. She was with the same family most of her life before we acquired her a few months ago. She was a young cowboy’s main mount and was used ranching, doctoring, checking fence and was shared amongst the other kids from time to time. Some family changes caused them to have to sell the horses. My daughter is 4 and can ride her around the yard and handle her just fine, Juju is just a bit too big for my little girl right now. She is an amazing pony with no bad habits, no spook and is an all around great kids horse. She’d be great for someone looking for a step pony for older kids or an adult looking for a smaller sized mount.
We’ve been using her for day to day work, in the feed lot, up and down the mountains, creeks and down the road. She’s definitely a been there done that kind of horse! You can rope off of her and she’ll stand where ever you get off and wait for you. We’ve started her on the heel side and she’s coming along nicely at that. She’s soft in the mouth with just a snaffle and stops by just saying woah!
The video shows just a fraction of all she can do! My 15 year old cousin is riding her in some of the video and it was his first time riding her.
