Dorito is as flashy as his name and just as fun! This 9.1-hand chestnut tobiano miniature gelding is estimated to be between 8 and 10 years old, and he’s packed with personality. For most of his life, Dorito was the prized herdsire at a miniature horse ranch, known for producing outstanding “keeper fillies.” But now that he’s been gelded, he’s ready for a new chapter as a riding partner and all-around adventure buddy.
Dorito has had two solid months of professional training and has been handled like one of the big horses every step of the way. He ties, loads, bathes, leads, saddles, picks up all four feet, and crosses obstacles with zero fuss. He’s had just a handful of rides so far, but he’s never offered to buck or kick—he’s more of a mover than a fighter and always aims to please. We’d call him green broke and best suited for an experienced handler or a handy cowkid ready to bring him along.
This little guy is a quick study and incredibly willing. He’s not phased by dogs, goats, kids, ropes, tarps, streamers, traffic, or even gunshots. He’s been hauled to shows to soak in the sights and sounds, and he stands calmly tied to the trailer. He’s even been ponied off a golf cart through crowds and chaos like a total gentleman.
Dorito’s training will continue daily until he finds his person. If you’re looking for a bold, kind, and eye-catching mini to finish your way, come meet him. Questions are always welcome, and we’re happy to share photos, videos, or set up a time for you to see him in action.
