RAMS Smokin Gem, aka Jim, is a 5 year old, stop-you-in-your-tracks, registered buckskin Gypsy Vanner gelding that stands 14 hands tall. Jim is by The Real Deal and out of Lady Galadriel.
Jim is simply the sweetest, kindest, gentlest, flashiest and safest gypsy you’ll find! He has truly done it all in the 1.5 years he’s been with his current family. Jim is the main go-to mount for a 16 year old girl. She will take off riding alone for hours! Jim has been ridden and handled by 5 year olds to adults and is a gentleman for all. He’ll stand tied for hours, waiting for his turn to be bathed, brushed and braided. Jim rides single or double, bareback or saddled.
You can use Jim to get the ranch chores done, practice a few tricks or head down the trail. There isn’t a thing he won’t go up, over or through! Dragging a tire, swinging a rope, crossing scary objects or loping with a tarp – he’ll do it all! There is not a hill too big or steep, he’s up for the challenge. Water is no problem for Jim!
Jim is an easy and smooth ride. Ride him one handed or two, he’s soft in the face, gives to pressure and is responsive to cues. He has great transitions, stops with little effort and he’ll stand as long as you want him to! Jim’s really getting the hang of side passing and moving off your legs. He won’t put up a fuss! Jim will ride in an arena, down the road or on the trails.
You can ride him alone, haul him alone, tie him alone – he won’t make a peep! If there are friends along, he’s a gentleman for that as well. Jim stands to be saddle, groomed, farrier, vet and he clips too! Sure-footed, safe and sound!
Jim even comes with a few tricks! He’ll bow with just the touch of a ‘button’ and is a pro at laying down!
Jim is UTD on vet work (teeth were just done), farrier and worming. No scars, bumps or maintenance. He’s healthy, sound and ready for his forever family!
