River is a 48 inch, 11 year old, pony gelding that you’ve been waiting for! River and his current cowboy have put many miles on the trails together, plenty of time roping in the pasture and in the arena roping the sled. He tackles the obstacle course with ease and he’s been to play day events too. He’s not overly fast, but he’s willing to do what’s asked! River will help you on the ranch, bringing in the cattle and roping!
Before River joined our family, he was with an Amish family the rode and drove him for many years! We have not driven River, though we’re confident he would do just fine. He’s so willing, broke and handy! Nothing phases him – he’s great with traffic, ATVs, dogs, chaos, noise, whips, tarps, etc.
You can point River in any direction and he’ll just go. He’s one of those rare, hard to find, one-in-a-million ponies that will instill a life long love of riding in your pint sized rider. He’s the pony that your family can love and grow with for years to come!
River is a smart cookie and can play a good ole game of cat ‘n mouse in the pasture, but a little shake of the bucket and he’ll let you win. In a smaller pen, once he knows you, he’s just fine!
River has had a basic PPE done and has no soundness, maintenance or issues of concern. He’s UTD on vaccinations, worming, farrier, teeth, chiropractor, etc. We’d love to have you come test him out before bidding to see just how wonderful he is!
