Todd is a 10-year-old, 39-inch pony with a kind heart and a solid build. He has thick legs, hard feet, and has never had any soundness issues. He recently passed a basic pre-purchase exam and is up to date on dental care and deworming.
Todd gets along well with all our other ponies and is the bottom of the pecking order. He stays in good condition with minimal effort and is easy to catch, deworm, groom, and trim. He is about as low-maintenance as they come.
Our six-year-old son has taken Todd just about everywhere—from rodeos and playdays to trail rides on his own. He has been ridden by children ages three through ten, and all of them enjoy him. Todd is more of a “whoa” than “go” type, making him safe and predictable. For events like barrels or poles, he will need spurs, but he is more than willing. Our eight-year-old loves chasing anything that moves, and Todd handles cattle and activity without hesitation.
He is steady for the little ones and can pick up the pace for older or more experienced riders. He is just as comfortable bareback as he is under saddle. Todd does not rush to keep up on the trail and is happy to follow at his own pace. He loads easily, stands quietly for grooming and saddling, and is happy to be caught by the kids in the corral.
Todd is at the perfect age and size for children to grow with. Whether you are looking for a pony for trails, ranch riding, playdays, rodeos, or just a reliable beginner mount, Todd is a solid choice.
